Sometimes, it's not you but them... After six months of applying for remote jobs, I learned that the rejections are not always due to my lack of skills or experience. Realizing this stopped me from constantly beating myself up about being rejected. There are so many reasons why you might not be shortlisted. You might be rejected for being over-experienced or qualified - yes, that happened to me once. The company might have decided to hire internally or chose not to hire anyone because of budget constraints. Of course, it could be that you've not made it past the Applicant Tracking Systems or made mistakes on your resume and cover letter. Taking a step back after a rejection, looking at your application, and learning from your mistakes will help you progress. Take time to review and learn from each rejection, but don't take it personally. Anyway, it's the company's loss. 😉
