🌞 Reflecting on my Summer Internship 🌞
I recently wrapped up my summer internship at DNB, where Sathuriyan Sivathas and I joined the Strategic Business Support team in Corporate Banking Operations. Together we tackled some interesting challenges this summer!
🤖📄 We wrote a report on efficiency tools used in the division today and suggested an array of new tools that can further help with both operational and personal efficiency. We got to take a deep dive into the world and opportunities of AI tools on the market today, as well as exploring likely opportunities AI can provide in the near future 🤖📄
👩💻 We also got to explore the role of business analysts, as we identified a use case and collaborated with a team of four other interns to establish a Salesforce test environment, which resulted in a successful pilot project with the use case we picked out. It was so interesting to learn about all the different factors and aspects of deciding on a use case for a new implementation 👩💻
👨🖥👩 What really stood out to me this summer was the importance of the synergy between technology and human-centric aspects. Navigating this requires so many skills and considerations, ranging from strategic thinking and problem-solving, to empathy, adaptability, and collaboration, and above all, clear communication. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn more about different methodologies (change management, lean/continuous improvement, agile, etc.) that I can bring with me as I step into the next phase of my education 👨🖥👩
🍦I’d like to thank the whole SBS team, but especially Jostein Sjaaeng and Kapina Puvanesalingam, for all their guidance from the first interview to my last day at DNB. Thank you both for encouraging a growth-oriented atmosphere and empowering me to approach tasks both creatively and analytically. I appreciate the opportunity to be able to work self-sufficiently, but knowing I always had your support and help available!🍦
🎓 As I move from a business-oriented bachelor to a master’s in information systems, I could not have asked for a better summer internship. I got to see how truly impactful the right technology can be for business operations at a big scale. I’m so excited to learn even more about technology and information systems in the next two years and continuously consider how it affects the people around it 🎓
I’m so excited to apply new insights and knowledge gained during this internship to my work going forward. Here’s to continuous learning and growth! 🎉
