ATTENTION, A NARRATIVE FOR HIRE!
Hi, everyone! Are you looking for a narrative designer/writer for your studio? If I were to compare my current career to something, I'd say it's like Titanic - slowly sinking, and I'm running around the deck, trying to hold onto anything. It's high time I did the Jack and Rose move and found a piece of a door for myself to drift away on towards safety.
Why should you hire me? Here are some reasons why:
✨ for the last year, I've been working on Phantom Hellcat, which you might have heard of, and another project that's still a secret. I've been working in a team of three skilled narratives and solo on the secret project, taking care of the narrative value in both cases. Lore, characters, dialogue, scripts, items, mechanics, planning out scenes - you name it, I did it. The most important thing for me is to make the narrative value match the game's bigger picture. Whenever I write something, I meticulously make the narrative of the game match the rest, like I'm doing a jigsaw puzzle and trying to match different pieces until they fit perfectly.
✨ I've also spent a year working on two games released on mobiles and Nintendo Switch: Eroblast and LoveNest. Sadly, the projects shut down, but I've been responsible for multiple romantic dialogues before that happened. I always ensured each character had their individual manner of speech, used stylised language and followed the brief while contributing to the characters' depth and psychological accuracy. The dialogues consisted mainly of flirting, and I take pride in always writing them with respect and consent between the characters.
✨ I've been writing gaming articles and reviews for two years now! You can find some of my publications on gry-online, Allegro, Komputronik, etc. Reviews, longer pieces, lists - I can easily take on any text.
✨ Cambridge says my English skills can be labelled as C2, but I personally call my level "I mostly think in English now and use it as much as I use Polish"; seriously, both are just as comfortable for me!
✨ I have extensive cultural knowledge, and I believe this is extremely important when it comes to writing. I've got a degree in Korean studies, and I'm now majoring in the anthropology of literature, theatre and film. I always pay attention to cultural aspects, whether I'm a creator or just an audience.
✨ I contribute (a bit shyly but diligently) to the overall design of the games I work on. There was a time when I was responsible for designing online versions of physical escape rooms by myself!
✨ my top values at work are empathy, open communication and good organisation - ensuring all the files are written and arranged clearly is the most satisfying task for me.
What do I need?
Well, I'll post it in the comments because of the character limit for posts here on LinkedIn!
I'd be extremely thankful for any shares, as visibility can help me a lot here. Thank you!
