Excellent read: Decolonization seeks to reject the colonial way of life and install Indigenous way of life. In your article, "Philosophers like Anibal Quijano argue that Western thought must be replaced by indigenous belief systems. That is because the Western philosophical system is dualistic, utilitarian, and ultimately relies on distinctions like “God” and “creation”, whereas the indigenous belief systems are holistic and monistic (Quijano 2007). Does this also then mean Decolonization rejects evolutionary theory by Charles Darwin? Is not Darwin part of colonial system from England? Are evolution and Indigenous thought compatible? I never heard an Indigenous person claim we came from apes. Indigenous people believe in the The Great Spirit from where everything came not evolution. Or am I wrong?

In a new research paper, ali sharifi and Mehdi Moradi consider spatio-temporal point processes on linear networks, which are crucial for understanding the distribution and correlation of events such as street crimes and traffic accidents. Within this framework, they propose second and higher-order summary statistics to discover how these events interact across both space and time. 📌Title: Summary statistics for spatio-temporal point processes on linear networks ✏️ Authors: Mehdi Moradi & Ali Sharifi, Umeå University 📄 Spatial Statistics, Volume 61, June 2024, 100840 👉 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/dP8GTEfy
