Driven by technology, economics and policy, the energy transition will reimagine how we produce, transport, store and consume energy. But for that transformation to be both just and sustainable, it must occur at the intersection of people, policy and technology, writes Jennifer Obertino, P.E., our global Energy practice leader. “By connecting people to new technologies and stakeholders, we can create a pathway for communities to benefit from and shape this massive shift in our built environment,” she explains. “Ultimately, our success will depend not just on high-level policy and innovation, but on unifying each part of this complex ecosystem of people, infrastructure and technology. Resilient energy infrastructures are increasingly enterprise level risks for electric utilities in climate disaster prone areas. As we embark on the renewable transition, now is the time to address this critical vulnerability.
⚡ Energy system resilience should be a top priority—now more than ever—as the #Energy sector enters a new era transforming energy supply, demand, distribution, resources, infrastructure and technology. It is time for us to rethink the trajectory of our energy systems to ensure #resilience while responding to the urgent need for #decarbonization, affordability and equity. Roland Berger identified nine hypotheses for building a resilient energy system. Each hypothesis outlines a challenge. To address these, we advocate a hybrid approach to #EnergySystem resilience based on four pillars. 💡 Find out more in our latest article and reach out to our experts to connect: ➡ https://lnkd.in/dr5fpSWE #RolandBerger Daniel Gabaldon, Kyle Datta

Practical, predictable, profitable and people-centered decision-making. As a Marketing specialist, accustomed to work around the "4-P's", I'm excited to see that the world is moving towards new "P's" that represent better what should be the top concerns of today's business, regardless of the industry. #EnergyTransition is no longer an ambition; is a must. And the increasingly demanding regulations that emerge on a daily basis are just another opportunity for us, key players, to be part of the game-change. Lost in transition? Undoubtedly, a very much recommended reading for all of those whose agendas prioritize #ESG and long for a transformation to a more sustainable and resilient future.
