- While iPhones are amazing to pick up and point and shoot at any moment, a lot can be said about planning, looking at material that inspires you from directors or people that you know who shoot content. Let's talk a little bit about how we planned for the shoot ahead. So after getting the owner's permission to shoot in their restaurant, I sat down with the owner to try to convey a few different things throughout the video. One was to get inside his head and his creative process. The other was to showcase his restaurant as a fantastic place to have an intimate experience. We started off by doing this by having a conversation online where I asked him a series of questions about how he grew up, what inspires him, how he keeps creative, and then a little bit about how he prepares his dishes.
