Accessing Salesforce through your company

- [Instructor] If your company uses Salesforce, you'll be assigned a license that allows you to sign in, so let's talk about the few ways that you can do that. If you've received your username and created a password, you can go to login.salesforce.com, then enter your log in credentials and click log in. Keep in mind that your username must be in email format. It's likely your work email address. And now, I'm signed into Salesforce. Alternately, you might've received an email that lets you know that an account has been set up for you. You'll be able to click the button or link and go to the Salesforce website and create your password and security question. A third way is through your company's single sign on service. A single sign on is one webpage, usually managed by your system admin, that lets you sign in once, and once you sign in, you have secure links to several services, including systems like your file sharing app, communication tools like Zoom and systems like Salesforce. So depending on your organization, you might need to sign into your company's single sign on page first, then click the link for Salesforce, and your company may call Salesforce by another name. Whether you use single sign on or you go to login.salesforce.com or you click the link in the email you received, you'll be taken to your company-specific version of Salesforce, and when you log in, you'll likely be taken to your home tab. The home tab is generally meant to be your home base with information and reminders that you likely need to reference throughout the day. We cover the home tab in more detail later. And if you'd like to set up an account to practice on, I'll talk about that next.
