- Want to succeed as a project manager? Assemble a great team. While this may be straightforward on many projects, healthcare projects add complexity to project staffing. There are some roles that can be assigned to anyone and some that require specific certifications. Based on your geography and local laws, many roles you depend on to collect requirements, validate designs, and test solutions require specific education or certifications. Now, most project managers would expect that registered nurses and doctors would be required to serve roles on the project. What may surprise some people is that there are other specific requirements or expectations for people that code and describe medical patient procedures.
