Check which version of PowerPoint you're using

- [Instructor] Before we begin, we have a few different courses on PowerPoint, and I really want to make sure you're watching the right course for the right software version that you have. This course is for PowerPoint for Office or Microsoft 365 subscribers, not a standalone version of PowerPoint, like 2019 or 2021. I really want to make sure you're on the right course, as a Microsoft 365 version contains some extra features that aren't available on other versions of PowerPoint, and I don't want you to get frustrated if you get excited learning about a feature that you can't use. So here's how to check. Click File on the top left-hand side of the screen. Down near the bottom, click Account, and look over here on the right-hand side. This is Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, as I'm a business user. There is a Home version of Office or Microsoft 365, and that version may even say Office 2019 in it. But the key word here is subscription. Everybody here who is here for Office or Microsoft 365 will see the word subscription. So if you don't see that word, you most likely have the standalone version of PowerPoint and will need to change to my other courses. And by the way, this is for Windows. If you are on a Mac, I also do the PowerPoint for Mac courses. So you can switch to that one too. But for everybody else, if you see something like this, you're in the right place. Let's click the back arrow on the top left-hand side of the screen to get back to where we were.
