- [Instructor] You can help do your part to make sure your emails are inclusive and can be read by everyone. A best practice involves the use of visuals such as images. It's best if the image doesn't contain the sole purpose of sending the email, such as a flyer. You should always include the text somewhere in there too. It's also good practice to include alternative text with any visual, alt text describes the image to those using a screen reader. Microsoft Outlook makes it easy to add alt text with any image selected. Right click and choose add alternate text. From here, you can put in your image description, click okay, and your alt text is done. One of my favorite features of Outlook is something called the accessibility checker. I love it because it takes all the guesswork out of it. Click options and check the little green man icon with a check mark next to it. This is going to turn on the accessibility checker. The…
