Use chats for private messages
- [Instructor] The group conversations that happen in team channels are visible to all members of that team. But to send a private message to specific people, you can use the chat feature. To do that, we'll go to the sidebar on the left and using the chat button, we can switch over to the chat section. The first column here shows a list of recent chats that you've had, and you can continue conversations from there. But let's start on new chat. I'll click the compose button up at the top. In this two field, I'll start typing in somebody's name and it searches through my organization's directory. It found Stewart, so I can click on him to select him. Now it's interesting to see that I have had a conversation with Stewart here in the past, so it remembers that chat history. I've got the option here to show that chat history. So if I click on that and then click on the message field at the bottom, I can see all of those…
