Make audio or video calls from the Chats section
- You can make audio or video calls from the chat interface in Teams. These calls are technically different from meetings, but they're almost exactly the same. So I'm starting in the chat section, I have the chat button selected on the left, and you should go to a conversation with the people you want to call. I already have this conversation active with Garrick, and you'll notice when I select that conversation, you'll see that Garrick is an external contact, meaning he's not in my organization. But all of this will still work even with external contacts. So you can start in a chat conversation with one person or a group conversation with multiple people. Then just click the camera icon up at the top if you want to start a video call or the phone button if you want to do an audio call.
