Post engaging content

- To connect with your community, you want to start posting on your company page and you want to make that content engaging. Now, what do you have to do to create and post engaging content? Well, first you need to be consistent and post regularly. Then whatever you post needs to be interesting and relevant to the community. And then finally try to get people involved. This is how you build community. Now, how much do you post and when? Well, the first rule is to simply be consistent. Now, you should post daily and that's because daily posts get double the engagement. A good rule of thumb is to post approximately one to two times per day to establish yourself as a trusted voice in the community. But don't overdo it. Too many posts can turn people off and appear spammy. Now, every week you should try to cross-promote your company page on other platforms to reach different audiences so they come to your page. You should also join topical conversations and try to use hashtags to associate your page with those topics. And then you should use the 3-2-1 model to guide your weekly posting schedule. Now, the 3-2-1 model is simply a weekly posting schedule. So, every week you should post three items that are industry related, two items that you're proud of. that's stuff that makes your employees and community feel good. Success stories, milestones, accolades all fall into this category. And finally, just one item that is product or service related. You never want to appear too salesy. Now on a week to week basis you may post more than these items but keep these ratios in mind. Now, many organizations create a monthly calendar. They align their posts with upcoming events, press releases and so on. To do this many companies employee scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Sprinklr. This lets you set up your monthly content all at once. And every month review your post to see which ones have had the best results. Judge them not only by the number of clicks, but also the quality of responses. And finally use the Analytics tab in your company page to see how you did that month. We've talked about when to post now let's look at what ta post. First, we just want to keep our content engaging. Posts stuff that is interesting and will spark conversation. Rich media such as images, graphics and video can help your content stand out. And engaging with your communities also keeps you in the mix and raises awareness of your organization. And most of all, be authentic. Openness and honesty go a long way. Now, one of the things you want to post is what's called rich media. Now, rich media is basically anything that adds visual interest to your posts. Now, here's an example. This is a text post and it contains all the information we need. Now, if we add a picture to that post it really makes it pop. So, try to use rich media in your posts. So, what types of rich media are available? Well, first are images and pictures and you can use those in your posts. Video is another great medium. It can increase engagement by up to five times. And also questions and polls can drive engagement. Now, if you have more in depth content to share, you can also add PDFs or PowerPoints. Now, coming up with ideas for content can also be a challenge. Here's some ways to do that. The first place to start is with your own company. Sharing company news with the community can drive engagement. Trending articles about your industry or areas of interest can also be shared to a wider audience. And your employees are also part of the community. Be sure to share any important milestones. And finally, your LinkedIn page has a Content tab which can help you with ideas for contents to share.
