- [Instructor] Starting in 2018, 2 Microsoft changed the way Excel works 3 with certain kinds of formulas. 4 You may be familiar with the phrase array formula. 5 We no longer need to use that kind of a formula 6 and no longer do we need to use Ctrl + Shift + Enter 7 to complete a formula like that. 8 Now, some of you might not have used that feature at all, 9 but it's worth noting what is different in the way we work 10 with formulas in Excel. 11 On this worksheet, I've got a list that was prepared 12 before any of those changes. 13 And in column A, I've got some order dates, 14 column B, some shipping dates. 15 Manually, we we're calculating one by one here in column C 16 the difference between the two, 17 and at the bottom we're averaging those differences. 18 In some situations, you don't need the interim values, 19 you simply want the average elapsed time. 20 And so a formula that we see in cell C16 as I click on…
