- [Instructor] In Excel, 2 there are eight different statistical functions 3 and they all have something in common. 4 We see them in the blue panel off to the right. 5 Three of them end in if, 6 and five of them and in ifs, plural, 7 and they're similar in nature, 8 and what they do is give us some statistical information 9 based on a list of data. 10 Those of you familiar with pivot tables 11 might recognize that some of these capabilities 12 could be done using that feature. 13 This list has 700 rows in it. 14 We'd like to know how many people in this list 15 have full time status, and half-time, and contract. 16 These are all listed over in column J. 17 And column K is where we want to calculate the results. 18 So initially, let's use the simplest of these functions. 19 Count if, equal count if. 20 Where are we looking? 21 We're looking in column C. 22 Now the list might grow or shrink, 23 if I click column…
