- [Instructor] There's a new function in Excel available 2 to Microsoft 365 subscribers. 3 It's called Lambda. 4 It's a function to create functions. 5 Some real power here. 6 If there are formulas that you write frequently 7 and there's no function that corresponds to that, 8 why not create your own function? 9 There is no cube root in Excel. 10 You can create a function called cube root, if you wish, 11 and there's no direct function for feet to meters, 12 although you could use the convert function, 13 but it does other things as well, 14 and it involves using multiple arguments and so on. 15 Let's set up a new function called, for example, feet 16 to meters or F two M if you prefer. 17 We use a function called Lambda, 18 and as we write this function, 19 we use what's called a variable. 20 Those of you with programming experience probably know what 21 that means, but let's say that for the moment, 22 we want…
