Sorting by moving columns left/right - in tables, Pivot Tables, SORT and SORTBY

- [Instructor] In this weekly tip, we want to show you how you can sort data by moving columns from left to right. Now, typically when we sort data, we move rows up and down. In this worksheet called Fruit Sales, you could imagine for example wanting to sort this list alphabetically based on the cities over in column A. But what we need in this worksheet is to take this data right here and sort it left to right alphabetically based on the data in row one. So here's the data we want to sort. We do not want to change anything in column A. This data is highlighted and we'll go to the Data tab, and click on the largest of the sort buttons here. Typically when we sort, we focus on what's in a certain column. We see the word column right here, but we're going to click Options so we can get to the sort left to right kind of sorting.
