- [Instructor] Excel's filtering capability 2 is fast and easy, 3 and it's a great tool for seeing just the data you want. 4 In this worksheet, it's got about 750 rows or so, 5 we don't always want to see all the data. 6 Let's imagine that we do want to keep it sorted 7 by employee name, as we're seeing it right now. 8 The standard way to start filtering 9 is either on the Home tab, 10 off to the far right, 11 Sort & Filter, and there's Filter. 12 And what happens? 13 It applies filter arrows. 14 And just as easily, we could have gone to the Data tab 15 and chosen the Filter. 16 Same thing would've happened. 17 Now, imagine we're not filtering. 18 I'll turn this filter off. 19 At a different time, it suddenly occurs to us 20 we only want to be viewing the full-time people. 21 So without starting filtering, 22 I'm simply going to right-click 23 on one of the full-time entries in column B. 24 Right click and…
