- [Narrator] When you create charts in Excel, it's often desirable to have titles, usually one on top but often from time to time, you want a title down the left-hand side and sometimes across the bottom as well. And in this example here, you can quickly see that that title on top is coming from cell A1. That happens to be a merged cell. That's not a prerequisite. There's a title down the left-hand side. It's coming out of cell A2, and there's a title across the bottom. It's coming out of cell B3. If I make any changes to that text over in rows one, two, or three, the chart titles will react immediately. Now there's a much easier way than typing to get these here. Let's create a brand new chart. I'll click within this data that's from row 5 down to row 17. Since it is surrounded by empty cells, we don't have to highlight it. I'll press Alt + F1 using the function key F1, great shortcut in Excel for creating a chart.…
