- [Instructor] There's no question 2 that conditional formatting, 3 and particularly when used with pivot tables, 4 can really bring out the data. 5 And it's not only a nice visual tool, it does give us, 6 for example, in this list, in the upper-left corner here, 7 as I zoom in on it, the greens are the highs, 8 the reds are the lows and everything in between 9 are various variations of those colors, 10 and does give us a quick read. 11 And it's easy to work with in pivot tables, 12 although it can be a little problematic at times. 13 The list off to the left is the source 14 of these pivot tables. 15 It's about 900 rows. 16 But let's show what happens when we try 17 and apply conditional formatting. 18 I'll simply click within the list, insert pivot table, 19 go with a default, put it on a new worksheet. 20 And there it is. 21 I'm going to click the box for salesperson and region, 22 those are both text fields…
