- [Instructor] Excels goal seek feature 2 allows us to say in effect, 3 I don't like the result of this formula, 4 I want a different result. 5 Now we can use this in a variety of different ways. 6 On this worksheet here, 7 there are about 4 or 500 rows of employee data 8 and we're going to be providing bonuses to people 9 based on their job rating. 10 These blue cells that you see over in column K represent the 11 various bonuses depending upon the job rating, 12 which is in column J. 13 So if your rating is 5 you'll get $2,400. 14 If it's a 4 you'll get half that amount. 15 And for this cell, 16 there's a formula that's half of the previous one. 17 Same thing here. Same thing here. 18 So ultimately this bonus scheme is based on that $2,400 19 and what we're doing with the other levels here. 20 And here's the formula that we're using here in column G. 21 We've tested it out on a few cells. 22 A simple use of X…
