- [Instructor] We're looking at two of Excel's 2 sunburst charts on the screen right now. 3 The one with the green background 4 in the center of the screen 5 is based on the data in columns A, B, and C. 6 And the chart to the right with the blue background 7 is based on the data in columns E through G. 8 Ultimately, that data is the same. 9 Now, there's no question 10 that sunburst charts certainly have some eye appeal, 11 they get your attention. 12 The bigger question is, what kind of data can they handle? 13 And although limited in their usage, 14 I think we can get a pretty good picture 15 based on the use as we see them here. 16 This organization has a staff here 17 of about 350 people or so, 18 and we're showing the breakout by department. 19 When you use a chart like this, 20 the data that you've selected, 21 it's critical be based on the leftmost column. 22 And although it might sound contradictory at…
