- [Instructor] When you work with pivot tables, 2 sometimes you will discover 3 that not all settings are available 4 from that Pivot Table Analyze tab, 5 that we're seeing at the top of the screen, 6 or the Design tab. 7 These are the two contextual tabs we use 8 when we work with pivot tables. 9 On this worksheet, we're seeing a pivot table 10 in columns G through M, 11 and the dates are broken out here one by one. 12 The initial set of data over in columns A through E 13 is about 400 rows. 14 But this pivot table here is showing day by day by day here. 15 It's about 250 rows, not exactly compact. 16 On the next worksheet, the exact same source data, 17 but a pivot table looking like this. 18 Now the question is, 19 when you create a pivot table based on this data, 20 would you prefer the look that you see here? 21 Would you prefer the look that we saw on this 22 other worksheet? 23 No matter which one you…
