- [Instructor] If you're trying to automate 2 command sequences, the word macro probably comes into play. 3 And although that is a valuable tool in Excel, 4 you can also get to command sequences fast using either 5 the quick access toolbar or some keystroke shortcuts. 6 A few of these are listed in the orange panel to the right, 7 and I'm not necessarily suggesting those are ones 8 that you might need. 9 Let's say that I frequently need these commands. 10 For example, I open a lot of worksheets that are list like, 11 and I want to know if there are any data validation rules. 12 I don't want to be surprised later. 13 How can I get there? 14 Well, manually, if I click anywhere in the worksheet, 15 I'll go to the home tab and then off to the right, 16 find and select and choose data validation 17 and it highlights those cells. 18 Now every button in the ribbon menu system 19 and most commands also have this capability. 20…
