- [Instructor] In Excel, there are any number of different techniques to make you more efficient as you work with a multi-sheet workbook or if you've got multiple files open. We sometimes refer to these as navigation tools. I've just opened a workbook here that either I haven't seen in a long, long time, it doesn't look familiar, or maybe it's something out of the past. I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. First order of business, let's scope out these sheets. In the lower left corner, you'll see a gray panel with a couple of arrows in them. Often one of them is gray. If you right click in the lower left corner, you will see a list of all the worksheet names and the top-down order that we see here does correspond with the left to right order, but you're much more likely to see all of them if you have many sheets here.
