- [Instructor] When you're working with large lists, the list on our current screen is about 700 rows, and you're trying to get totals, we're going to be getting totals over in column K. One way to write form is more efficiently is to use entire column references. I've got to be knowledgeable about your data to know that there's nothing else in these rows here except what we're seeing. In other words, there are no interim subtotals in different rows. There's no grand total on the bottom. We simply want a quick way to get our totals off to the right. Now, in one sense, some of the things we're looking for could be found simply by using what we call the status bar at the bottom of the screen. If I click column H, I'm seeing some information at the bottom of the screen in what we call the status bar, and they're up to six possible statistical measures we're seeing there.
