Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with our client located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
3+ years of Experience Installing and managing below
Linux systems administration with a focus on Ubuntu and RHEL
Experience managing unstructured storage like NetApp, Isilon.
Experience with Ansible automation
Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Terraform
Able to navigate through diverse cloud platforms
Managing HCI and virtual platforms like Nutanix and VMware vSphere.
Nice To Have:
Experience with Kubernetes is nice to have.
Coding experience beyond simple scripts.
Job Details:
Contract: 5 months
Pay Rate: $50 - $55 / hr
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid).
