Need someone local to NYC area

I have a long term contract opportunity in Midtown Manhattan working with one of our top tier investment banks. I am looking for a hands-on developer with strong database and data pipeline development experience to join our Business Technology Team. You will work with team members to design and implement end-to-end business solutions for various business teams.

This is 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with members of the project team and various business and technology stakeholders to redesign key internal risk and performance applications
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with any of these programming languages - Python, or C#/.Net. Python.
  • Prior experience working with MS SQL Server (2016+) for database design and development.
  • Prior experience working with Snowflake a big plus.
  • Working with common data format and parsing methods: YAML, JSON, CSV, XML
  • Prior experience with any of these Business Intelligence technologies - Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, Crystal. Tableau a big plus.
  • Prior Asset Management or Financial Services experience is a must. Familiarity with DevOps and the tools commonly utilized in this area. Azure DevOps a big plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology tools: Tidal Enterprise Scheduler (or any other scheduling system), Service Now, JIRA, Confluence
