Senior Associate Buyer, Spirits

Description

We are looking for a Senior Associate Buyer of Spirits in our Merchandising team to work onsite in Bethesda, MD. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships across all spirit categories while driving sales and achieving margin targets for the department. You will lead important areas of supplier relations, sourcing, and product development, while partnering with teams and individuals both internal and external to the business. You will report to the VP, Merchandising, Spirits.

You will:

• Drive assortment opportunities, developing spirit brands with worldwide suppliers and traveling to trade shows and producers to secure strong relations and timely deliverables.
• Lead TWM’s Strategic Supplier Relationships with principal North American suppliers adding up to $150M in sales
• Lead the development and review of new spirit items for retail sale at all levels of the market; entry-point to ultra-premium
• Partner with compliance professionals to secure federal approvals on all brands
• Plan launch, promotion, merchandising, chainwide distribution, and on-going development of spirit brands across the categories
• Partner with Supply Chain to manage inbound ordering, replenishment and forecast planning
• Collaborate with Marketing, Promotions and Digital teams to develop in-store collateral in support of brands and launches
• Collaborate with operations leadership and individual store teams to deliver excellent sales support resources to drive customer engagement and grow sales volume including travel to store throughout the year and at peak holiday times
• Train and mentor three junior team members on the Spirits Sourcing team
  
  

You will come with:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of retail buying, planning or allocation experience
• Advanced experience using Excel
• Experience doing data analysis with assortment, margin, sales, and market dynamics
