While you may not know us directly, you almost certainly know our products. We have supplied food ingredients to virtually every large food company in the world for over 37 years. We employ nearly 1000 associates throughout North America. Our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters is the hub of our support infrastructure. Our manufacturing facilities are in MN, IA, WI, IN, OR and Canada.

We're seeking a Sales Manager for our Flax division who excels at selling, customer service, and managing essential administrative tasks.   • Develop and execute sales strategies, identifying customer needs and selling appropriate products.
  • Manage account relationships from initial contact through shipment, ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Communicate with customers regarding inquiries, orders, and shipments, providing excellent customer service.
  • Respond to prospective customer inquiries about products, pricing, specifications, availability, product use, and credit terms.
  • Develop and implement plans for assigned accounts to meet revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Facilitate shipment dates and logistics with plant and warehouse personnel, advising customers of shipment dates and any delays.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members to promote the companys product portfolio and actively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Resolve customer complaints in coordination with QA, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Perform account management duties including receivables management, market analysis, and administration.
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge, engage in good public relations, and travel to customer locations and trade shows as needed.

Requirements

  • Combination of five plus years of education and experience. Prefer a bachelors degree in business, Accounting, Ag Economics, Ag Business or a related field.
  • General knowledge of the agricultural community in and around mill operations.
  • Expertise in basic accounting and administrative functions.
  • Good sales skills and analytical abilities.
  • Possesses an astute awareness of the organizations business and a proactive attitude toward teamwork, along with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
