QA Automation Engineer Lead

Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the Insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time QA Automation Engineer Lead. The candidate must have Homeowner Insurance experience and must be well-versed in business analysis and both automated and manual QA testing.

What YOU Will Do

  • Interpreting business requirements to design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks, ensuring adherence to CMMI standards and a passion for software quality through rigorous testing processes.
  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge of personal lines homeowners' insurance to develop and execute robust test plans, ensuring software meets industry-specific requirements.
  • Collaborating with Off-Shore development, product management, and delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Engaging in both manual and automated testing, including test execution and defect reporting. Utilizing expertise in Automation and Selenium to drive efficiency and maintain the regression test suite.
  • Producing status reports for product testing and defect status, raising risks to management concerning the quality and schedule of the release.
  • Supporting user acceptance testing and coordinating with offshore teams as needed.
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, risk-based environment.

What YOU Will Bring Us

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Over five years of BSA/Quality Assurance experience in the P&C insurance industry, specifically with Homeowners Insurance.
  • Proficiency in manual and automation testing methodologies, with a solid understanding of Automation and Selenium.
  • Strong business analyst skills, with the ability to create detailed test plans from business requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
