We are looking for a Purchasing Analyst to analyze purchasing activities, optimize procurement processes, identify inventory trends, and ensure cost savings. This position interacts with internal departments at all levels, as well as external suppliers, to support efficient purchasing solutions and inventory management.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysis: Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for purchasing decisions and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and contracts to secure favorable deals. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Verify that orders placed are scheduled to be delivered on time. Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability without over-purchasing. Forecast future inventory needs based on sales data and market trends. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory status. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Administration: Prepare purchase orders and bid requests based on RFPs (Request for Purchase) and system-driven reorder points/historical data. Maintain procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all purchasing activities.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain or related field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge and application of purchasing fundamentals and technical skills, including data analysis, project management, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and formulate and execute alternative plans. Must have the ability to analyze and solve complex issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and the supply chain.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and act with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
