Job Description
Project Manager IV
Performs highly advanced project management work initiating and conducting multi-division or enterprise-level projects within Information Technology. Performs advanced (senior-level) project management work. Work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of CPS IT projects at various levels of completion; monitoring the progress and schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties. May direct, assign, and evaluate the work of project staff. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Essential Job Functions
Experience in project management in relevant areas of project assignment. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the assignment is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Initial Selection Criteria
Experience drafting and presenting project plans, summarizing information from multiple resources.
Knowledge and experience with Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (DFPS) information and technology systems.

Essential Job Functions
- Directs and oversees CPS IT project activities for multiple complex projects giving detailed attention to strategy planning, requirements quality, communication planning/coordination, training planning/coordination, data/reporting, product quality plan and timely implementation
- Coordinates and communicates with DFPS leadership, project stakeholders, IT management, other program area and external agency regarding the status of CPS projects
- Develop proposal for changes outside project parameters, oversee and track until completion.
- Manage and oversees work product deliverables produced by project staff/stakeholders during all phases of funded projects.
- Performs project-related research and analysis tasks as assigned to report on program area requirements, state, and federal requirements, and inform PMO management of risks or issues.
- Develop and manage CPS and enterprise level project proposals for submission to IT governance, giving detailed attention to ensuring business needs/Strategic plan objectives are fully developed.
- Reviews and approves proposed changes to project parameters and changes, original project plan and budget; oversees implementation of changes.
- Manages, develops, and implements solutions which include project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections to mitigate risks which threaten project resources and budget constraints.
- Evaluates, reports, and tracks critical project constraints to executive leadership/Project sponsors and provide options to resolve issues.
- Develops and manages IT request proposals process to ensure alignment with Agency and Enterprise strategic plans.
- Oversees and tracks each project ensuring strategic plan initiatives are being adhere to
