Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the intake, capacity, and prioritization of initiatives across all Digital pillars. Collaborate with Digital department leads and business stakeholders to manage scope, understand business cases, and monitor key performance metrics, supporting the overall Digital portfolio. Ensure the consolidation of overall Digital status reporting, including risk management and escalation of roadblocks or dependencies, to Executive Leadership teams. Synergize strategic roadmaps across department leads to streamline plans against strategic pillars and identify opportunities to collaborate, leverage existing technologies, and/or suggest alternative efficiencies based on organizational awareness.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the intake process for digital PMO, newbuild and cross-functional Digital team initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, defined KPIs through a robust business case, confirmation of technology team capacity, and an initiative charter that speaks to value and benefits.
  • Collaborate with Digital department leads to assess capacity and prioritize projects based on backlog, internal initiatives, and alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Support portfolio readouts to Executive Leadership based on defined cadences in support of individual initiatives and/or in support of the cohesive Digital portfolio.
  • Prepare content for Digital management to assess ongoing initiatives and assist with prioritization. Further, prepare content for monthly technology prioritization meeting with CEO and executive leadership.
  • Ensure the Digital portfolio aligns with broader organizational strategic initiatives and defined "Big Bets," and support forward-looking planning of backlog requests to capture and appropriately plan all dependencies, including IT requirements and processes.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document business cases for new initiatives in collaboration with project teams and/or product owners.
  • Support individual project/program/product teams with the preparation of content and delivery for key milestones and in support of broader organizational leadership meetings (i.e., Steerco).
  • Ensure all project dependencies, including IT requirements, are captured and planned across the Digital Portfolio.
  • In collaboration with Digital department leads and managers, partner with various business departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that enhance their functions.
  • Support annual budget processes, in collaboration with Digital leadership and Corporate Finance, to ensure key initiatives and strategic portfolio components are appropriately accounted for.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define problem statements, success criteria, and business requirements. Support Demand planning/intake/evaluation meetings with business stakeholders for Digital initiatives.
  • Maintain end to end view of ongoing initiatives with metrics on performance against business case KPIs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree


FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in program or portfolio management, preferably in a digital environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven experience in risk management and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple dependencies.

  • Ability to travel, as needed, based on current demand/project scope.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Agile Certifications such as CSM, PSM, or similar certifications preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
