Looking for a contractor to take on a project for upgrading software to their ‘Spreading Machine’ – this machine prepares cloth material before it gets sent into cutting machines. This machine is run on C# .NET.

The software is currently powered by Windows CE, and they are looking to upgrade it to modern day Windows 10/11. A developer coming out of manufacturing environment will be ideal for this. This role is primarily front end focused- there is a web page that interacts with the machine, this is the main software they will be working on. The main reason for this being onsite is that the physical machines are there as well as the on prem server that will be worked on via web app.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years in a software development role developing C# and C++ .NET applications using object-oriented techniques and methodologies.
• Experience with multi-threaded application development.
• Experience with MVVM design patterns.
• Experience with WCF, WPF and Windows Workflow Foundation.
• Experience with test-driven development and unit testing.
• Experience with Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio development tools, including version control and work item tracking.
