We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Southern California team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience, with a background in Products Liability and/or General Liability Litigation. This position is hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
Responsibilities:
Managing Office and Attorney Calendars:
Review attorney calendar weekly and send reminders regarding upcoming deadlines
Ensure all deadlines are met
Create and send calendar invites as requested
Document Management and Drafting:
Prepare shells for various documents; finalize documents before filing
Keep accurate and up-to-date records; help maintain case files
E-Filing:
File legal documents electronically with courts and other external bodies
Ensure compliance with all filing requirements
Expense and Bar/CLE Management:
Submit attorney expenses in a timely manner
Maintain attorney bar admissions, CLE credits, and various professional association memberships.
Meeting and Trial Preparation:
Assist in preparing materials for depositions, hearings, trials, and other meetings
Ensure all necessary documentation is in order
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years legal assistant experience
Background in Product Liability and/or General Liability Litigation
Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
Must be able to think critically and independently tackle new challenges
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
