Job Summary
Lead, directly and through project management efforts, in the development and production of print and online communications materials for use in publications and other visual presentations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: client management, production personnel and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: client management and production personnel. This position will supervise: NA
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Counsel with end user clients and production personnel in conceptualizing and defining graphic design requirements.
Job Duty 2 -
Establish priorities based availability of resources and design requirements.
Job Duty 3 -
Prepare designs, artwork and other visuals in support of client needs and consistent with design standards.
Job Duty 4 -
Determine required resources, schedule and make other required production arrangements.
Job Duty 5 -
Procure services of outside vendors and contractors where required which may include negotiation of rates and fees.
Job Duty 6 -
Oversee production process to ensure quality standards are met.
Job Duty 7 -
Review final product with users; ensure user satisfaction.
Job Duty 8 -
Maintain ongoing awareness of graphic design industry trends and developments.
Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Art or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience
Preferred Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong portfolio showcasing experience in both traditional and digital design
Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and design principles
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to work within a brand identity system
Ability to prep files for print production
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Experience in animation and motion graphics a plus
Proposed Salary
Salary Range:
$51,333.00- $80,000.00
Paygrade: I3

This job requires advanced knowledge and skill in the application of graphic design principles and processes. Also required are project management, organization and communications skills, and knowledge of graphic production processes, providing customer service, negotiation skills and use of specialized computer applications.
