EA SPORTS is looking for an NFL Content Expert to design, tune and ship content that delights players. You have a broad knowledge of the NFL, its players, teams, stories and history are your passion. You will work directly with creative and technical leadership to research, design and implement content.
As a Game Designer, you will work directly on Madden NFL & College Football live service features. Reporting to the Design Director, the Game Designer I - NFL Content Expert will be responsible for a large amount of NFL content across all aspects of our games live service elements; from Ultimate Team to Online Head to Head.

You will work directly with creative and technical leadership to research, design and implement content.
As a Game Designer, you will work directly on Madden NFL & College Football live service features. Reporting to the Design Director, the Game Designer I - NFL Content Expert will be responsible for a large amount of NFL content across all aspects of our games live service elements; from Ultimate Team to Online Head to Head.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, tune and bug fix NFL content that surprises and delights our players
- Research the meaningful moments of NFL franchises, understanding what excites their fans and design content that celebrates these moments
- Use the combination of data insights, user research and design to design meaningful content that grow the live services of our games
- Support the creative vision as set by the Creative Director and Product Owner
- Determine experience goals for designs, and tune features to meet those goals
- Create clear testing documentation to support testing of the content you create
- Be an active member of the development team using inclusive collaborative frameworks with diverse teams to decide on goals and establish the stories players want to tell within a given release
- Be resourceful and solve problems using the tools and time/scope available to create unique and fun experiences for players.
- Collaborate with all team disciplines, including artists, testers, economy, engineers and producers to get support from the team and guide a project from initial design to final production.
- Become an expert on the game and our community, drawing from our large, varied player base and our past games to make and defend intelligent design choices going forward.
- Focus on establishing and improving processes to make life easier for the Design team.
- 2+ years of professional experience on a video game development team, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge of video game development
- Experience with Live Service games and their systems, including the purpose of vanity and cosmetic items in video games
- Experience designing content to target Engagement, Retention or Monetization goals
- Technical proficiency with either scripting or database languages
- A deep passion and knowledge of the NFL, it's teams, players and stories
