Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer specializing in the Node.js/React stack to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to the development and maintenance of the GrapesJS framework ecosystem, including its core, plugins, and the new GrapesJS Studio editor. You will work closely with our dedicated team to push the boundaries of what's possible with GrapesJS and deliver innovative solutions that empower our global community of developers and companies.

Grapes Studio is a fully remote early-stage startup that prefers employees located in the United States or contractors in other locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain: Work on the GrapesJS framework ecosystem, including its core, plugins, and the new GrapesJS Studio editor.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements.
• Innovate: Continually push the boundaries of what's possible with GrapesJS, ensuring the framework remains at the forefront of web development technology.
• Support: Provide technical support and mentorship to other team members and contribute to the overall growth and success of the team.
• Optimize: Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of applications developed on the GrapesJS framework.
  
  

Requirements

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack development, particularly with Node.js and React.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript/Node, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with SSR, RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling in Node.js (eg. using Next.js or similar).
• Comfortable working remotely full-time in a startup environment (eg. on-camera meetings, flexible schedule).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with the GrapesJS framework.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a remote environment is preferred.
