PURPOSE

  • Direct the planning, inventory, customer orders and movement of finished goods from off shore plants to U.S. and global customers.
  • Manage vendors providing raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to company owned manufacturing facilities as well as co-packers.
  • Manage 3rd party Logistics services from plants to port to customers.
  • Lead organization to provide support to entire Supply Chain, Logistics and Planning functionality.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage logistics budgets of $70 million, across 2 production plants, 3-5 co-packers and a 3PL network managing 5 distribution centers across ocean, truck and intermodal carriers.
  • Manage KPI’s for Logistics, Planning and Inventory to achieve company objectives of on time delivery, complete order fulfillment while minimizing inventory liability.
  • Lead group of 20+ professionals responsible for supply planning, finished goods inventory, component ordering and inventory, customer order management, logistics, co-pack execution and customs compliance.
  • Manage $100+ million procurement of all non-fish raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to maintain plant operations and minimize investment of inventory.
  • Manage old age and obsolete inventories, minimizing product disposal and company liability.
  • Manage all finished goods inventory to meet company objective of lowest inventory investment while maximizing company investment at target levels.
  • Analyze and define lowest delivered cost by product and direct production and distribution accordingly.
  • Negotiate Ocean, intermodal, truck and rail rates directly with vendors or assisting 3PL provider in achieving lowest cost and highest service.
  • Oversee the receipt of customer orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery to 3PL and for on time delivery to customers.
  • Manage all company sustainability functions including fish, GHG, packaging.
  • Ensure all Trade, Customs, Duty documentation meets U.S./ International regulations related to the shipment of finished goods for both import and export shipments.
  • Deliver customer orders with fulfillment rates of 98% and above.
  • Lead projects and teams of cross functional employees to deliver company directed initiatives.


KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES

  • At least 15 years of Supply Chain or Logistics or Operations experience with global/ international management experience.
  • Preferred 5 years in a position of similar complexity, scope, size and international impact.
  • Master's Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management or the equivalent
  • Must be able to travel by plane - approximate travel 25%. (includes international, passport required)
  • Must be capable of travel for extended periods (extended: 5-15 days)
  • Broad knowledge and experience in Supply Chain/Logistics and has the ability to demonstrate successive levels of responsibility in multiple areas of Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written communication, plus command of Microsoft Software suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance.
  • Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SAP considered to be preferred.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Responsible for the administration of Customs Compliance and necessary certifications, including US Customs.


  • Working with Quality Assurance and FDA for product release and conformance to testing, examination and regulatory testing for release to U.S. based customers.
