We need a talented leader to help guide development teams and work with Product leaders to build solutions that expand the capacity to care! This leadership role will play a key part in shaping our technical strategy, solutions, and their teams.

As a Director of Software Engineering, you’re given the unique opportunity to guide the next generation of platform initiatives in a global SaaS infrastructure. Backed by the might of our teams, we’ll provide you with the tools and resources needed to achieve extraordinary results that render a significant impact extending beyond the boundaries of traditional engineering roles.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and operate our microservice platform that powers our new Workflow IQ product. This is the future of all our products. This will require attention to software development best practices, operational excellence, and the highest standards in quality.
  • Work side-by-side with Product and UX teams to build new capabilities on our SaaS platform that align with the strategy and roadmaps.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Partner with peers and Software Engineering leadership to help set strategy, goals, and objectives, communicating, and driving valuable business and technical outcomes.
  • Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for the software engineering organization that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Drive innovation and ensure the adoption of modern technologies and practices.
  • Champion best practices in software development, ensuring adherence to coding standards, scalability, and security, and excellence in operations.
  • Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and development of engineering talent, promoting an inclusive, continuous learning, and high-performance culture.
  • Mentor, coach, and be a driver for change across your teams and the broader organization.

What we're looking for:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience managing teams of varying sizes and across time zones, including 5+ years supporting production in a SaaS multi-tenant environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple engineering teams including both full time employees and contractors
  • Ability to evaluate current technical approaches and champion industry best-of-class technology initiatives
  • Foster collaboration across teams and organizational boundaries for product development, thriving in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and rapid changes.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, adept at conveying technical concepts effectively.
  • Be self-driven, capable of managing multiple projects with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Familiarity with SRE and SRE automation best practices
  • Familiarity with additional tech stacks, languages, etc. are a plus
