Birthplace of Country Music, Inc. (BCM) in Bristol, TN/VA seeks a Director of Marketing. This will be a full-time, exempt, position reporting to the BCM Managing Director. This person will actively work on the team he/she manages to maximize the creation of, awareness of, interest in, and perception of the BCM Museum, The Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Radio Bristol, and all functions and events of BCM.

Qualifications, Experience, and Essential Skills
College degree required
Five years minimum experience in marketing functions including advertising, PR, literature development, website management, promotion through social media, presentations development, and branding
At least 5 years’ experience of working within the marketing department of an arts/culture or dynamic company in a busy office environment
Coordinate the interests of various related industry groups to maximize use of resources, staff, and opportunities for BCM cross-promotion
A thorough and in-depth understanding of Marketing (including Digital Marketing) and social media
Experience of devising, implementing and monitoring integrated marketing campaigns, including experience of briefing designers, working with agencies and internal marketing staff
Ability to demonstrate effective PPC (pay per click) optimization techniques, and experience of creation, administration, and reporting of PPC campaigns across all channels
Strong understanding of SEO practices and optimization tactics
Develop and monitor advertising and promotional materials
Experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Business Manager, Sprout Social and WordPress
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs
Ability to coordinate the planning, production and analytics of all email communications to customers via Mailchimp
Experience of creating content for various channels, including online media, video, web and email
Experience of managing multiple social media channels and accounts
Maintain and prepare a variety of periodic reports and records relating to the marketing activities of BCM
Research for and apply for marketing grants to further elevate BCM’s efforts
Excellent written English, including proofreading skills
Excellent communications skills
Motivated, proactive, creative and shows initiative- a self-starter
Positive attitude and enthusiasm
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
Excellent attention to detail
