Volt is immediately hiring a Chief Inspector with a Power Electronics manufacturer in Wichita, Kansas! In this role you will lead all manufacturing inspection activities and serve the best customers from all over the world - from general, business, and commercial aviation.

Day to day tasks:
* Work in a climate controlled facility; clean, organized, and safe light manufacturing environment.
* Ensure that the inspection standards, methods, and procedures are maintained and meet approval by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Part 21 Manufacturing Facility.
* Monitor operations to maintain established high standards in a production environment while ensuring a consistent, reliable, quality product delivered on time, as expected
* Manage and develop direct reports, monitor workplace performance, and lead training initiatives
* Oversee the use of current applicable released planning, drawings, test data, and other pertinent data to produce articles to be certified as airworthy
* Oversee the coordination of First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, ensuring all new engineering released changes are incorporated, track cut-in data and communicate FAI status to customers as needed
* Coordinate revisions of the AS9100 Quality Manual and Production Approval Holder Quality Manual and supporting procedures
* Maintain readiness and interface with regulatory agencies and customers during tours and audits
* Initiate correction and response to any regulatory or customer audit nonconformances
* Develop, maintain, and report appropriate production metrics to Quality management
* Perform or support quality audits of the entire facility, including the repair station, if needed
* Lead or support RCCA activities for internal, customer, or supplier issues
* Work closely with manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, and RCCA team to improve quality and production processes, value stream, and environment

This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Need to have familiarity with all regulatory and industry requirements related to Aerospace Quality Standards. You'll be an important part of the process that keeps our customers flying!
* 8+ years working in avionics and parts manufacturing inspection having experience with engineering drawings, applicable inspection methods, techniques, equipment, and tools used to determine the compliance of new articles.
* 4+ years of direct supervision experience, with responsibility for receiving inspection, assembly, final inspection and delivery of aviation products or articles.
* You are proficient with Microsoft Office and documentation
* You have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

* Experienced with aircraft electronics and systems (use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other specialized test equipment) IS A PLUS

* Experience working in a Part 145 Repair Station environment IS A PLUS

Salary: $75,000 - 95,000/year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
