An exciting opportunity for a Casino Game Artist at our Las Vegas office. This role contributes to shaping the visual elements of our slot games, enriching the gaming experience for players worldwide. Working alongside a dynamic team of artists and designers, you will be tasked with bringing creative concepts to life through captivating characters, immersive backgrounds, and engaging symbols. The successful candidate will be adept at leveraging industry-standard software tools like Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to design and refine visual assets that align with game themes and appeal to our target audience. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for artistic excellence, you will contribute to the development of visually stunning casino games that captivate players and set new standards in the industry.

The Role

The successful candidate for the position of Casino Game Artist possesses a blend of artistic talent, technical proficiency, and creativity. They should have a minimum of two years of experience in casino game illustration, demonstrating a portfolio showcasing proficiency across various artistic styles, particularly in character design and background artwork. Additionally, the successful candidate should be highly skilled in using software tools such as Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to create polished and visually appealing graphics. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a production art pipeline are crucial for meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality assets consistently. Moreover, experience with commercial game development processes, including asset optimization for different platforms and languages, is advantageous. A successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling them to work effectively with cross-functional teams to bring game concepts to life and enhance the overall gaming experience for players.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Produce high-quality painted characters, backgrounds, symbols, logos, and typography in accordance with game design specifications.
  • Design and illustrate captivating characters in various styles, including cartoony, stylized, illustrated, and realistic.
  • Touch up and modify branded source assets as necessary to enhance visual appeal and consistency.
  • Process art assets in multiple formats, languages, sizes, and compression schemas to ensure compatibility and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to ensure art assets meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative meetings to contribute ideas and concepts for new game projects.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation of art assets to facilitate efficient workflow and asset management.
  • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement on other artists' work during review processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging technologies to inform artistic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and creativity in all deliverables.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in casino game illustration.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in game design, animation, or digital art is a plus.
  • Proficient in designing and painting characters across different styles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of success in a production art pipeline environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with 3D software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with commercial game development processes.
  • A portfolio demonstrating proficiency in casino game illustration and character art and the ability to turn ideas into compelling games.

Note: This is an in-person role based out of our Las Vegas office.
