Role Description
This is a contract role for a Book Designer for an independent muralist and portrait artist. The Book Designer will be responsible for designing book covers and inner layouts of images and text provided by artist, collaborating with the artist and book printers, and ensuring that the design aligns with the vision of the book. This role is located in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
A strong portfolio showcasing book design work
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (preferred)
