Job Summary

We are looking for an attentive and driven Account Manager to join our team. A successful Account Manager will demonstrate a strong track record of success. You should desire to understand your customers' needs and how our data and insights can improve their organizations. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in sales and customer service. We expect you to be a reliable professional, able to balance customer orientation and a results-driven approach.

This position will report directly to the VP of Commercial and work closely with our Sales Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients and gathering information about a project’s scope, budgets and timelines
  • Maintain relationships with accounts
  • Meeting with internal teams to discuss clients’ project goals, progress and outcomes
  • Developing budgets and timelines for clients
  • Coordinating teams to meet project milestones
  • Reporting and recording all sales activities in Hubspot
  • Qualifying inbound leads and prospects
  • Organizing regular client meetings to ensure excellent customer service and retention
  • Prospecting new sales
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with clients
  • Collaborating with key decision makers to identify opportunities and develop ideas to expand growth in accounts
  • Attending trade shows and events
  • Based on the needs of the company, you may be required to work occasional nights and weekends
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BSc or BA in business administration, sales, marketing and/or relevant experience
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar business sales/customer service role (1-5 years)
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in commodities sector
  • Experience in the satellite and/or geospatial industry
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Outstanding knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) is a plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • A business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate

Compensation Range

  • $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience, plus commissions

Location

  • We are headquartered in Ithaca, NY and have a remote workforce in other locations throughout the United States. This position has the option to be fully remote
