The Alliance of Independent Authors is a global non-profit association for self-publishing writers and good author services. We have four grades of member: associate, author, partner and professional.

At Toastmasters, there are a series of workbooks, each intended to teach members how to apply certain speaking concepts.

A weekly gathering of science fiction, fantasy, gothic and horror writers. We read a few pages of our works to the group, and accept critique in order to improve our writing skills. We occasionally have a guest speaker on any writing or publishing related subject.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.
