    Mitacs

    The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from Brazil, China, France, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Vietnam. From May to September of each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences.

    A cash prize was awarded to the students who have demonstrated excellence in Cytoscape-related development selected from the 2013 Google Summer of Code student pool. The winning students were announced at the Cytoscape Symposium and Workshop in Paris, France on October 9-10, 2013. Selection took into consideration the many aspects of Allan's perpective and contributions to Cytoscape and software development, including his passions for:
