Today is my professional anniversary, 14 months and 2 days in iGaming. Till this date, I am confused by not being able to connect with some leads - they simply not replying my nice messages. Why? I have few hypothesis: 1. They are busy playing: as iGaming industry is all about games, they might take advantage and have fun themselves 2. Their mom told them not to reply to strangers 3. They are stuck, lost or else in the woods. 4. They do not know, that my boss set some KPIs for me There may be more. You are welcome to add your hypothesis in comments. Did you know that when you go through the app and want to skip to the next page (1), you don't have any possibility to do this? Why? Because your action triggers an additional popup (2) to make a call to this company. It is not important to answer the question now: on which phones does this problem not occur. If this problem happens on most popular phones, it means it is a serious mistake. Especially if you encounter this problem with one of the biggest telecommunications companies. Developed In-house or Third Party? 👨‍💻 Hey LinkedIn! Wanted to share a thought on the pros and cons of using in-house developed software, as I increasingly see various companies preferring it in the early stages, especially in the iGaming industry. However, they may (and I emphasize may) encounter various problems later on. The main advantage I often hear is the so-called "independence" from the provider. However, based on experience, this independence can be quite elusive, expensive, labor-intensive, and simply unprofitable, which later on can lead to issues with scalability, inability to integrate with other third parties, poor latency, data integrity & security, and many more. Moreover, migrating at that stage might not be so simple... Wouldn't it be more advantageous to focus on the business aspects and entrust the technical part to a partner with a huge in-field expertise (like VeliTech, for example) 😅 ?
