What are the most effective ways to avoid database errors?
Leveraging "warm standby" servers is another way to protect your database from potentially damaging failures and costly outages. By maintaining a second, synced copy of the entire system on another device, the warm standby can step in and assume read/write responsibilities at a moments notice should the primary database go offline. As a bonus, this secondary replica can often serve as a read-only access point for reporting and analysis tasks, so that these activities don't impact the performance of your primary database.

What are the most effective ways to avoid database errors?
While consistency is the most important thing to keep in mind when naming objects, you should also take into consideration the standard format for the particular platform you're using. PostgreSQL databases for example tend to use `snake_case` object names, where SQL Server databases typically use `PascalCase` names. Sticking with the platform's preferred format will make maintenance easier.

What are some best practices for naming and labeling your database entities and attributes?
I often see columns named "Date" which is a clear reserved word conflict with the SQL date datatype. Beyond this though, a "date" column isn't very descriptive anyway. Consider "OrderDate," "ShipDate," "DeliveryDate," "BirthDate" or "HireDate" as much more descriptive column names.
